AUSTRAC, Australia’s anti-money laundering authority, has suspended Cryptolink Pty Ltd’s registration as a virtual asset service provider for three months, effective August 9. The suspension has shut down all 96 cryptocurrency ATMs operated by the company nationwide. The Queensland-based operator consistently failed to report cash transactions exceeding the A$10,000 threshold and ignored AUSTRAC’s information requests. In October 2025, the company was fined A$56,340 for reporting delays and weaknesses in its AML risk assessments. Despite entering into a binding undertaking with the regulator, Cryptolink failed to address its compliance gaps, leading to this suspension.
