Appaloosa sells AI memory stocks, boosts Magnificent Seven holdings

David Tepper’s hedge fund realized massive gains on AI-linked memory stocks, posting 32% gross returns in the first half of 2026. The portfolio worth $7.47 billion as of June 30, 2026 comprises 27 holdings, with Amazon leading at 15.95% and Micron Technology second at 15.06%. Appaloosa tripled its Micron position during the year to reach 1.5 million shares but has started reducing memory exposure in favor of megacap technology stocks. Taiwan Semiconductor (10.55%), Alphabet (8.75%), and Uber (7.43%) round out the top five holdings.
