Another Bitcoin Miner Sells Off BTC to Fund AI Data Center Pivot

Hyperscale Data sold approximately 685 Bitcoin for roughly $43 million to fund the expansion of its Michigan data center. The Las Vegas-based company, trading on NYSE American under the ticker GPUS, reduced its debt by approximately $30 million through this sale. The firm now holds 275 Bitcoin, down from approximately 960 before the transaction, but says it plans to continue mining and may rebuild its holdings over time. The Michigan facility, operated through its Sentinum subsidiary, is central to the company’s shift toward AI infrastructure. Other Bitcoin miners pivoting to AI include Bitdeer and MARA, which have also sold holdings to fund similar transitions.
