Advertising agency hacked: thousands of sites exposed to crypto theft

The hack of Adform, a major European online advertising platform, allowed attackers to distribute a malicious script on thousands of client websites, including Spotify, CNN, Bloomberg, and Disney+. The malware scanned users’ clipboards every three seconds and replaced Bitcoin, Ethereum, and TRON wallet addresses with addresses controlled by the attackers. The company, which serves approximately 14,000 clients, has disclosed neither the number of victims, nor the amounts stolen, nor how its infrastructure was breached. The only effective protection against this type of clipper attack is to manually verify the entire pasted address before any transaction.
