Aero, the DeFi liquidity protocol born from the merger of Aerodrome and Velodrome in November 2025, started publishing its core smart contracts on August 3. After months of private security reviews by ChainSecurity and Sherlock, no critical or high-severity issues have been identified. A public audit contest with a $400K prize pool will kick off on August 24 and run through September 11. The protocol targets a full mainnet launch in September 2026, with the codebase having been examined by professional audit firms, contest participants, and internal reviewers. Aero operates on a ve(3,3)-style model combining vote-escrowed tokenomics with game theory, with plans for an « Aero-Lite » version featuring SlipstreamV3 pools for rapid deployment on new chains.
