AftermathFi will launch its Perpetuals V2 product on mainnet on August 18, after security firm OtterSec spent 12 weeks reviewing nine smart contract repositories and found zero critical or high-severity vulnerabilities. This launch follows an exploit on April 29, 2026, that drained approximately $1.14 million in USDC due to a negative integrator fee validation flaw. The protocol chose to rebuild its architecture entirely rather than patch the existing code, and the four-day window between the audit announcement and the live launch leaves the market very little time to react.
