UK authorities continue probe into Nigel Farage’s crypto ‘gifts’ after by-election win

Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, won a by-election triggered by his July resignation with 63% of the vote, defeating satirical candidate Count Binface who received 27%. UK authorities continue their investigation into crypto gifts received by Farage. Labour lawmakers proposed making permanent a moratorium on crypto donations implemented in March. According to the International Bar Association, unincorporated associations can donate over $675 directly to UK politicians, creating a loophole allowing companies operating in the country to serve as conduits for foreign or dark money.
