Bank of America forecasts the global data center systems market will reach $2.2 trillion by 2030, driven primarily by the buildout of artificial intelligence infrastructure. AI now accounts for approximately $1.7 trillion of that total, up from previous estimates ranging between $1.2 trillion and $1.4 trillion. Combined hyperscaler capital expenditure is expected to exceed $700 billion in 2026, representing a 75% year-over-year increase. Bank of America has financed over 5 gigawatts of global data center projects in the last eighteen months, including a $16 billion campus in Michigan for Oracle and OpenAI.
