Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global disclosed a stake in BitMine Immersion Technologies valued at nearly $82 million, holding over 6.1 million shares according to the Norges Bank quarterly report. With total assets exceeding $1.7 trillion, the sovereign fund gains indirect exposure to Ethereum through this investment. BitMine, formerly a Bitcoin mining company, raised $250 million to fund systematic ETH accumulation and currently holds approximately 5.8 million tokens, representing 4.8% of the circulating supply. The firm stakes over 5 million tokens to generate passive network rewards and aims to control 5% of total Ethereum supply.
