Stock futures were little changed Wednesday night as investors awaited fresh inflation data. The July producer price index (PPI) will be released Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET, with economists polled by Dow Jones expecting a 0.2% increase from the prior month. July consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.1% month over month, matching expectations, which gave the S&P 500 a boost for its first positive close in three sessions. Expectations for a September rate hike were pared back. July retail sales data will follow Friday, with economists forecasting growth of just 0.1%. On the earnings front, Cisco fell nearly 4%, Cerebras dropped 15% and Coherent shed about 3%, while CoreWeave and other tech companies rallied after their quarterly results.
