Anthropic has significantly upgraded its Chrome extension for Claude. Sessions started in Cowork or Claude Code now sync directly with the browser extension, allowing users to carry full AI context into their Chrome workflow. The extension now supports Skills, markdown-based instruction files that tell Claude how to behave in specific contexts, as well as Connectors, integration bridges linking Claude to external tools like Google Drive, Gmail and Slack through the MCP protocol. This synchronization and new features are available exclusively on paid plans: Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. The update arrived on August 7 as part of a Chrome extension refresh.
