According to BTIG data, Wednesday marked the 182nd consecutive trading session without at least 80% of New York Stock Exchange volume declining, making it the longest such streak in at least three decades. If this pattern holds through the end of 2026, it would mark the first calendar year in three decades without a single day of this type. Burry, who has positioned himself as one of the most vocal skeptics of the artificial intelligence boom on markets, advises investors to avoid leverage to protect against a sharp reversal.
