Crypto OG and self-proclaimed financial educator Tone Vays admitted he was an idiot for giving hackers remote access to his PC during a one-hour Microsoft Teams interview. The hackers, claiming to run a legitimate YouTube Channel, used the screen sharing function to download Trojan malware onto his computer. Vays disconnected his PC, reinstalled his operating system, and skipped saving any files. He claims everything looks OK and that he does not store Bitcoin credentials or password details on his PC. The incident has scared him away from strangers and Microsoft Teams, as he now refuses to do interviews unless he knows the person personally and will only use web interfaces like Google Meet.
