U.S. Treasury yields were little changed on Wednesday morning as investors awaited the key consumer price index data for July. The 10-year yield held at 4.682%, the 2-year yield at 4.212% and the 30-year yield at 5.231%. Economists polled by Dow Jones expect the July CPI to show a 0.1% monthly increase and a 3.4% annual rate, with core CPI forecast at 0.2% monthly and 2.5% annually. The data will be crucial for the Federal Reserve’s September policy meeting, as the central bank held rates steady at its last meeting with three dissenters voting to raise rates. The July producer price index is also due on Thursday.
