Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, has sold 6,948 BTC for approximately $432.5 million since May, including 1,690 BTC for $108.6 million last week. This strategy falls under the Bitcoin Monetization Program launched in June, which authorizes the company to sell up to $1.25 billion in BTC to fund dividends on preferred stock, replenish its cash reserves, and repurchase securities. The decision was driven by the decline of STRC preferred stock below the $100 threshold, limiting Strategy’s ability to issue new shares to fund Bitcoin purchases. Despite these sales, Strategy still holds over 840,000 BTC, valued at approximately $53.6 billion according to its latest SEC filing.
