Bitcoin’s BIP editors removed Luke Dashjr from his role on Monday, two days after the BIP-110 soft fork he championed stalled. The chain enforcing BIP-110 remained stuck at block height 961,633, with no block produced since Aug. 8. BIP-110 peaked at only 2.53% signaling in a difficulty period, far below the required 55% threshold. Dashjr, who had served as a BIP editor for years, was removed by revoking his GitHub permissions and deleting one line from BIP 3, with no written removal procedure in place. Five editors remain in total. Bitcoin traded at roughly $64,002 late Monday.
