Trump weighs ‘massive attack’ on Iran as Tehran’s chokehold on oil gets tighter

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday, April 27, that he is considering a « massive attack » on Iran, bigger than ever before. The United States conducted its thirteenth night of attacks on Iran in the last 24 hours, targeting military command centers, drone storage facilities and communication networks. Iran rejected a ceasefire offer delivered through the Iraqi president. The Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb together account for 38% of global maritime oil supplies, representing 29.5 million barrels per day out of a total of 78.4 million.
