Intel raised $15 billion through a new share issuance that was oversubscribed over 2,700 times. The offering, announced on August 10, ranks among the largest equity raises in semiconductor history. The stock has surged approximately 400% over the past 12 months, with a market capitalization exceeding $500 billion and shares trading above $100. The company reported Q2 2026 revenue of $16.13 billion, up 25.4% year over year. Intel plans to use the proceeds to expand advanced chip fabrication facilities and its contract foundry business, with 2026 capital expenditure guidance exceeding $20 billion. The issuance will result in roughly a 3% increase in shares outstanding, diluting existing shareholders.
