Meta unveiled Muse Glimmer on Monday, an AI model designed to run locally on personal devices including Macs and PCs. This open-weight model is available through Hugging Face and can perform agentic tasks on behalf of users. Meta is working with partners Nvidia, Intel, AMD, Arm Holdings and Dell to optimize the model’s performance. CEO Mark Zuckerberg outlined his vision for a positive AI future in a letter, also announcing plans to open the weights of the Muse Spark 1.2 model in the coming weeks. Meta shares were trading at roughly $593 per share in afternoon trading.
