Brazil ranks fifth globally for crypto adoption, having received $318.8 billion in on-chain value over the twelve months to June 2025. Nearly one-third of all Latin American activity flows through Brazilian platforms and wallets. The Central Bank requires virtual asset service providers to file for authorization by October 30, 2026, with minimum capital ranging from $2 million to $6.7 million depending on the license category. The country is described as a Stablecoin Nation, with 80% of declared volume flowing through dollar-pegged tokens, USDT accounting for 88.7% of that flow. The sector lost $1.32 billion to cyberattacks in the first half of 2026, affecting approximately 120 providers currently operating in the market.
