This three-hour virtual session will cover crypto assets, artificial intelligence, and prediction markets. Launched in January 2026 under Chairman Michael S. Selig, the committee includes representatives from Coinbase, Ripple, and Gemini, and is tasked with advising the CFTC on how technological advancements, particularly blockchain, affect financial, derivatives, and commodity markets. For prediction market platforms, the CFTC’s stance on event contracts will determine which products can legally be offered to US customers.
