Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush scored twice during Manchester City’s pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid in Seoul on August 9. The 27-year-old leveled the match around the 57th minute before adding a second goal shortly after, giving City a 2-1 lead. This was City’s final pre-season fixture of their 2026 Asia Tour, their third match after a draw against Inter and a win over the K-League All Stars. Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for approximately 75 million euros. Transfer rumors had linked the Egyptian forward to Atletico Madrid earlier in 2026, though no deal materialized.
