Franklin Templeton, an asset manager overseeing more than $1.5 trillion in assets under management, has obtained Super Validator status on Canton Network, an institutional blockchain already adopted by Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas and HSBC. This status grants it a central role in the network’s governance and security, including operating a Synchronizer node that coordinates transactions across the network’s domains. Canton Network has over 600 active validators, processes approximately 15 million monthly transactions and supports $6 trillion in tokenized assets. Franklin Templeton joins Visa and Singapore-based broker QCP Group in this exclusive circle, amid competition between four institutional blockchains for the tokenization of traditional assets estimated at up to $300 trillion.
