Alex Thorn, head of research at Galaxy, warned on Monday that a fourth coordinated wave of attacks is targeting Coldcard hardware wallet users. The random number generator exploit has already stolen 1,367.05 BTC from 4,585 addresses across three confirmed waves. At least 462 new victims are suspected in this fourth wave, which would push total stolen funds even higher. The attacks exploit a flaw in the private key generation process of Coldcard devices.
