The U.S. ETF market has reached an unprecedented launch pace, with 953 new funds launched by late July, already surpassing the all-time annual record of 1,095 set in 2021. Half of these new ETFs incorporate derivatives, a record-high proportion, while the number of leveraged and inverse products has more than doubled to reach 701. AI-focused offerings have already attracted over $3 billion in assets under management, and 85% of new launches are active strategies. BlackRock, Direxion and ProShares are leading this surge, including in the spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF segment, which continues to see favorable market reception.
