Berkshire Hathaway shares hit an eight-month high this week, with Class B closing at $512.37 and Class A at $768,010. The Warren Buffett conglomerate still trails the S&P 500 by 7.6 percentage points but has already erased more than half of its 17.5-point deficit from two months ago. Three of its biggest holdings posted strong gains: Apple is up 13.6% year-to-date and now worth more than $70 billion, Coca-Cola has jumped 25% to $35 billion, and Bank of America is up 12.6% to nearly $32 billion. UBS analyst Brian Meredith raised his price targets to $585 for Class B and $877,848 for Class A while maintaining a buy rating. The stock remains about 5% below its all-time closing highs set on May 2 last year.
