ChapsVision aims to become Europe’s AI champion amid Palantir skepticism

France’s domestic intelligence agency DGSI awarded its critical data analytics contract to ChapsVision, replacing Palantir’s Gotham platform with ChapsVision’s ArgonOS system. Founded in 2019, ChapsVision employs around 1,000 people, operates across 40 countries, and generated approximately €200 million in revenue during its 2024/2025 fiscal year. The French government backs this decision with €655 million earmarked for AI investments, including state chatbots and sovereign data processing tools. Germany also selected ChapsVision for its domestic intelligence agency BfV, deal a significant blow to the US defense contractor.
