Oil prices fall as Middle East tensions ease, Brent slips below $100

Oil prices declined as Brent crude fell below the $100 per barrel threshold, following an easing of Middle East tensions. Previously, prices had surged due to tensions between the United States and Iran, as well as attacks on Saudi-linked shipping vessels. The market remains sensitive to further escalation in the region. Market participants now view the probability of crude oil reaching a new all-time high by September 30 as less likely.
