Nvidia locks in $500B deal with SK Group to dominate AI infrastructure

On July 25, 2026, Nvidia and South Korea’s SK Group signed letters of intent for a partnership valued at over $500 billion, covering AI data centers, memory chip supply, and next-generation computing infrastructure. SK Telecom will build a 2-gigawatt AI data center powered by Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform, with the first phase targeted for operation in 2027. Nvidia and SK hynix will deepen their collaboration to co-develop next-generation HBM4 memory chips, a technology essential for AI training workloads. This deal aims to address memory supply shortages that are constraining the scaling of AI systems globally.
