The context is Japan’s shrinking workforce, characterized by demographic aging and declining birth rates, which has hit the automotive sector particularly hard. These robots are designed to address labor shortages on factory floors, maintain productivity, and preserve institutional knowledge threatened by the retirement of experienced employees.
