Trump pauses Iran military strikes as Bitcoin drops 2.3% and oil tops $100

President Trump suspended US military operations against Iran on July 25 after thirteen consecutive nights of attacks near the Strait of Hormuz. Bitcoin lost approximately 2.3%, falling from around $65,500 to below $64,000, while the total cryptocurrency market capitalization shed roughly $80 billion. Oil prices crossed above $100 per barrel for the first time since May 2026. The US Treasury also seized nearly $500 million in crypto assets linked to Iranian entities as part of sanctions enforcement.
