Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, reacted to the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) endorsing the CLARITY Act on cryptocurrency regulation. The FOP, one of the largest law enforcement organizations in the United States, backed the revised version of the bill after participating in negotiations. Grewal called on the Senate to follow the FOP’s lead and take a position in favor of the legislation. FOP National President Patrick Yoes sent a letter to Senators Tim Scott and Elizabeth Warren of the Senate Banking Committee to confirm this support. Despite this major endorsement from an influential law enforcement group, the bill still awaits final passage through Congress.
