Lukaku remains under contract with Napoli until June 2027, but his situation has grown complicated since Hojlund’s arrival on loan in 2025, initially intended to cover during a four-month injury absence for the Belgian. Napoli’s sporting director has indicated the club will evaluate Lukaku’s future after the striker returns from a scheduled vacation, pushing any resolution to the summer 2026 window.
