Japan’s spot Bitcoin ETF could hit $18B in 2 years after debut: Report

According to a report by xWin Finance, Japan’s spot Bitcoin ETFs could attract up to $18.4 billion within two years of their launch, representing approximately 0.13% of Japan’s household financial assets of $14.6 trillion. Demand is expected to come from existing crypto investors (approximately 5 million people), new retail investors, and institutional players. Japan’s Financial Services Agency is pushing for crypto ETFs to be available as soon as 2028, and Metaplanet is building a significant Bitcoin ecosystem. Meanwhile, overall Bitcoin demand remained negative in H2 July, but options traders were betting on a $75K-$77K breakout in August.
