Arsenal and Hamburger SV are actively negotiating a permanent transfer for Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira, with a significant gap between HSV’s offer of around 10 million euros and Arsenal’s asking price of over 20 million euros. The 26-year-old, recruited from FC Porto in June 2022 for approximately 40 million euros including add-ons, spent the 2025-2026 season on loan at Hamburg, scoring 7 goals as the club’s top scorer. Nottingham Forest reportedly made an offer of around 28 million euros, giving Arsenal leverage to hold firm on their valuation. An initial purchase option of 20 to 22 million euros included in the loan agreement has expired, with HSV apparently deeming even that amount too high.
