Bank of America’s chief strategist is urging the U.S. Federal Reserve to hike interest rates soon to stabilize the Treasury market. The bank has revised its outlook and now anticipates three 25-basis-point rate hikes in 2026, reversing earlier expectations of cuts. The probability of a rate hike by September 2026 has risen to 61%, up from 34% a week ago, while the likelihood of a hike before October 2026 stands at 69%.
