Bitcoin Rebounds After Bank of Japan Delivers Biggest Rate Hike in Decades

Bitcoin rose from around $65,600 to $66,000 after the Bank of Japan raised its key rate by 25 basis points to 1%. The move was softened by a pause in the bond taper, keeping monthly JGB purchases near 2 trillion yen from April 2027.
