The U.S. Department of Commerce is now publishing its key economic indicators (GDP, PCE price index, private final sales) on ten public blockchains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base. This initiative, operational since September 1, 2025, offers six structured data feeds available to any connected computer program without manual intervention. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated the goal is to « make American economic truth immutable and accessible to the entire world », thus safeguarding these statistics against future political disputes.
