Full Sail, a decentralized finance protocol built on the Sui blockchain, is shutting down permanently after an attacker exploited faulty price feeds from oracle provider Switchboard to drain approximately $91,000 from three of its vaults. The incident, which surfaced on August 29, triggered Switchboard to cease operations across four separate chains: Sui, Aptos, IOTA, and Movement. The linked Virtue Money protocol also reported losses of roughly $455,000 affecting 45 users from the same compromised oracle. Combined, the two protocols absorbed over $500,000 in damage from a single oracle failure, with Full Sail pledging to distribute remaining liquidity to users and cover any shortfalls out of pocket.
